Bird in 5.5 foot high marsh grass along road, giving mostly four-noted calls until approached, then giving mostly three-noted calls. Bird was driven out of the grass and onto the roadside where it was captured.

In a cage, it gave on series of "croo croo croo croo" very softly. The other calls were either "ti ti terw" or "ti ti ti terw".

Habitat: Tidal marsh.
