Squabbling with a Porphyrula martinica, then swimming away while giving a higher clear piping call.

Habitat: Everglades on some open fresh water.

BNA: I am not sure that any of the calls here were given by Fulica americana. I suspect that these calls were instead given by Gallinula chloropus and Porphyrula martinica, though I cannot be absolutely certain. (CAM - 4 March 2005)
