NOTES: (Breeding Status: Territorial.) Bird sang from tall trees scattered in second growth. Upper parts gray, crown yellow, yellow wing bars nearly as extensive as golden-wing, no yellow below, thin black band across lower throat. (Lower edge of golden-wing throat patch retained in a band a few millimeters wide.)

The hybrid was named V. leucobronchialis [= "Brewster's" Warbler] on the spp reel
