    Equipment Note

NOTES: (Breeding Status: Territorial paired. Gen. Climate: Arid. Cover Density: Medium.) Cassette counter 6-13, 4 sequences. This Grosbeak male had a nest in an oak and at times would sing for prolonged periods. With only four sequences before he flew off, I commented that we didn't get started. Jim: This was the first tape I did last May and I used a TDK-D tape. HB LNS Note: This cut was digitized from a restored reel. JN 21 Oct 2005
