NOTES: Range status: CAPTIVITY; Weather: WIND; BIRDS CAPTIVE IN LARGE ENCLOSED DECIDUOUS WOODS. SEVERAL MALES AND FEMALES. THE GOBBLES WERE GIVEN WITH TAIL ERECT, WINGS, DROOPING AND BREAST SPREAD. WHEN NOT VOCALIZING THE MALES CONTINUED POSTURING AND FOLLOWING THE FEMALES WHICH WERE FEEDI MALE(S); FEMALE(S)NG. WE ALSO TRIED UNSUCCESSFULLY TO RECORD A LOW-PITCHED BOOMING SOUND WHICH SEEMED TO BE MADE BY AIR PASSING THROUGH THE TAIL OR WING FEATHERS. THIS SOUND ONLY OCCURRED WHEN THE MALE IN FULL POSTURE RUSHED TOWARD THE FEMALE. THESE SOUNDS WERE INTERSPERS
