Habitat: Forest, man-made pond. Habitat types: second growth, brush, thicket, scrub, rocky, fresh and brackish water, pasture. Dominant plants: Matta pasto, cactus, pao braneo, catinguero. Recorded at pond/forest edge. Note: On 3/27, found this pair actively feeding nestlings - calling frequently and nestlings calling too. Today no nestlings - think they've gone.

ML: Subject identified by recordist as Pitangus, changed to P. sulphuratus based on brief vocalizations audible in recording and range. However, majority of vocalizations do not seem to be from this species. -Jay McGowan 2Jul2015.
