NOTES: (Breeding Status: Territorial paired? Behav. Context: Courtship? care of young? Gen. Climate: Dry. Cover Density: Medium.) Feeding and courting--chasing each other and then one of pair started preening on ground. 2 "cuts." Food was some kind of moth. [Twenty-two examples of the "Chick-a-dee" Call of BNA. Most of the earlier calls include only a single B-note followed by a series of C-notes, but some of the later calls appear to include A, B, and C-notes. There are also a few series that appear to represent exclusively A-notes. Quality changed from 3 to 2-3 (maybe even 2 in places) - CAM - 1 April 2005]
