NOTES: (Breeding Status: Territorial unknown. Behav. Context: Foraging and doing pendululm flight 6" from ground in ravine. Gen. Climate: Dry. Cover Density: Sparse.) Announcement on tape should say "Broad-tailed" rather than "Broad-billed." [This represents primarily the wing buzz of a male, at first apparently during a "whisking flight display" (0:00-0:13), combined with a soft chittering at 0:055, and then series of tinny chip notes as the bird flew off (0:09, 0:105, 0:11). Additional calls at 0:135-0:16, 0:34, and 1:02. All times based on beginning of recording as measured from species reel. Quality unchanged (2-3) - CAM - 10 May 2005]
LNS NOTE: Unbroken cut with internal recordist announcement/handling noise gain change (MJA, 07 July 2005).
