NOTES: Background: MYIODYNASTES SULPHURATUS (LUTEIVENTRIS?); Range status: NORMAL; Breeding status: TERRITORIAL PAIRED?; Cover density: THICK; PART I: BIRD FORAGING THROUGH SCRUB. CAME NEAR ME AND WAS CERTAINLY AWARE OF ME BUT CONTINUED TO FORAGE AND CALL IN A SLIGHTLY MORE AGITATED WAY. PART II (AFTER PLAYBACK): THE BIRD RESPONDED TO PLAYBACK WITH RATTLE-LIKE NOTES. PART III (AFTER SILENT SECTION): SOMEWHAT QUIETED. THE BIRD UTTERED A MIXTURE OF VOCALIZATIONS INCLUDING SONGS. IT WAS JOINED FOR A SHORT TIME BY ANOTHER WREN WHICH MAY HAVE ALSO VOCALIZED; IFA MALE, THEVOCALIZATIONS WERE DIRECTED AT EACH OTHER.
