    Equipment Note

NOTES: (Breeding Status: territorial paired; General Climate: dry; Habitat Types:talus slope; Cover Density: medium) Pair had been flushed and separated. Vocalizations recorded were of the female with male in the background. BNA: The call heard is likely the "Descending Call" of the female. CZ 05/02/2004. [Agreed. The calls in the foreground represent the "Descending" call of the female (a good example at 1:26 and not quite as good an example at 1:16) in addition to soft "wip" calls by a close bird (apparently a second individual?) and distant examples of the the "Buzz" call from the male in the background. Quality 2 (at best). Quality changed from 3 to 3, 2 - CAM - 30 November 2004] ML: Subject changed by ML archival staff from Cyrtonyx montezumae to Cyrtonyx montezumae [montezumae Group] following eBird/Clements v2016. -Jay McGowan, 3 Aug 2016.
