NOTES: A YOUNG FLYCATCHER, JUST OUT OFTHE NEST, WAS PERCHED ON A CLOTHESLINE. IT CALLED SHARPLY AND OFTEN. FROM TIME TO TIME AN ADULT FORAGING THROUGH BUSHES RESPONDED; THE INTENSITY OF THE RECORDED NOTES VARIES ACCORDING TO ITS DIRECTION FROM THE MICROPHONE. AT ONE POINT THE ADULT FLEW SWIFTLY AND EXCITEDLY TO THE CLOTHESLINE CALLING LOUDLY. A SECOND FLYCATCHER HAD PERCHED NEARBY, POSSIBLY IN RESPONSE TO THE CALLS OF YOUNG BIRD. THE FIRST ADULT ATTACKED THE NEWCOMER AND DROVE IT AWAY. 1 FLEDGLING(S); 2 ADULT(S)
