NOTES: Weather: WIND; A VARIABLE NUMBER OF THESE PARAKEETS WERE PERCHED IN A LEAFLESS 'MURMUL' TREE, SOMETIMES CALLED LOCALLY A CEIBA BUT WHICH IS NOT THE COMMONCEIBA. SOME OF THE PARAKEETS WERE ALMOST MOTIONLESS, OTHERS WERE AVIDLY EATING THE GREEN, ORANGE-SIZED FRUITS. FROM TIME TO TIME A FEW PARAKEETS LEFT, LATER OTHERS CAME. AT ONE TIME I COUNTED 15 INDIVIDUALS INSIGHT. SEVERAL TYPES OF VOCALIZATIONS CAN BE DISTINGUISHED: FAIRLY COMMON ARE SOME HOARSE NOTES; FROM TIME TO TIME ARE SHARP CALLS. I COULDNOT DETERMINE WHICH BIRDS PRODUCED THE DIFFERENT TYPES. 'MURMUL' TREEBY SIDE OF STREAM. Sex: 10-15 UNKNOWN
