NOTES: (Behavioral Context: nest building; Frequency: high; General Climate: dry) BNA: Chatter Vocalization rambling series of closely linked low notes. Repeated Vocalization "whit". mf [This recording begins with what appear to be begging calls, but most of the rest are "Repeated Vocalizations," possibly given by both male and female near nest (following BNA and W. J. Smith. 1966. Communications and relationships in the genus Tyrannus.Publ. Nuttall Ornithol. Cl. 6). There are also several "Attack Calls" (1:20-1:22, 2:56), three sets of "Locomotory Hesitance Vocalizations," apparently by a female (1:29, 1:32, 3:24), and additional begging by nestlings combined with Repeated Calls by parent (2:04-2:20). Quality changed from 3-2 to 3-2, 1-2 - CAM - 7 January 2005]. Habitat: Deciduous Forest, Pond, Desert, Scrub.
