NOTES: (General Climate: dry; Cover Density: thick; Format: X track stereo) The bird was not in full male plumage. The head was black, but there was still some white eye line left behind the eye. The breast was bright orange, but the orange was not as extensive as other male grosbeaks we saw in Cave Creek. This cut is possibly stereo 200-07 and 200-08. Notes on tape: "This recording has both microphones on, with about a six to seven foot difference between the dishes." BNA: Song. mf
