Habitat: Marshy meadow along a creek
Weather: Fair and warm, still

Recordist note: "There are probably 5 or 6 species of frogs calling, as well as a few marsh birds, including Eastern Swamphens (Porphyrio melanotus) giving wails and Spur-winged Plovers (Lobibyx novae-hollandiae) giving staccato notes. Most of the frogs were quite close."

ML: Background subject changed from recordist's original identification of Porphyrio porphyrio melanotus to Porphyrio porphyrio [melanotus Group] to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015.
