Groups HW4 (F) and HW7 (A) conflict calls at territory border; most hoots by F female, whose mate was injured in a fight with the A male and has disappeared. Most high-pitched hoots are by the group A male. At about 3:30 the group A female sees recordist and utters Uh uh uh . . . alarm calls. Her 3-year old juvenile joins also. After 5 min. she gives a great call which is not answered by her mate--the purpose may be simply to call him. A minute later she gives another great call which her mate answers weakly.
