call - While trout fishing along the Pelorus River, we heard these frogs in a small slough not directly connected to the river, but in the drainage system. As few opportunities are presented in NZ to tape frogs, I made this recording. It is somewhat marred by the passage of automobiles along a nearby highway; but there are several portions of the tape which do not have this fault. The tape is included for comparison with the White-faced Heron cut whose voice is similar, but not identical, to this frog.
