:02 plane talk..left tum to Fairbanks
11 bettles traffic, right hand tum to the west after departure (plane has slowed down and is about to start up)
03 REALLY LOUD TAKE OFF AND REALLY DISTORTED
45 says where we are. Three miles from Balli Lake and coming up on hard mountain, hard mtn is12 0 clock, then we're going to go to dead mountain right tum pick up the Easy Cook river and from there a ways till we come by the lake and then we'll follow that up to the alatna river and from there go west, northwest and pick a valley head up to the lake from there.
31 Plane talk. We didn't think we were ever gonna get out today with the weather ...
05 right now if you had a north heading, its wide open clear up there.
:22 Plane talk-the river we just flew over is the John river and the JR headwater is right there that water is coming South and at then end it goes North. That's the Anatubic River ...
46 Plane talk-to our right that's heart mountain lake over there, pretty good fishing northern trout and lake trout in there. talks about the kind of people (caribou and dall sheep hunters moose griz)
06 with the cloud cover over the mountains over there we'll take the long route around and there's a side valley that goes straight up in there once we get up on the Alatna.
15 there's probably not a whole lot of people who have ever flown into that lake.
16 this is my fourteenth season up here out of Bettles.
22 right now we're 28 miles southeast the lake, over the alatna river, take a right hand turn go up the side valley and go right on into the lake. **
27 it's a great spot, I've flown quite a few places over the years, I came up here 14 years ago, been here ever since I get.
11 there's days like today and yesterday that makes it real wild. (no)
24 can't really use, distorted
