1 :27 lots of good ambi of loading plane getting ready
1 :52 this is pretty light, light in the back..

2:32 loud bangs of float plane stuff being loaded into pontoons
3 :00 great clanging sounds
8:56 getting in seat belts ( a few loud thumps can be cut)
9:57 J-(offmic) all these four doors are exits ..if you need survival gear its in the back .. you need an elt..that should do it.
11 :03 all right, all right
12:04 plane starts (good vibration)
12:35 changes tone a little lower (taxis out an d turns)
20:45 motor drops (20:51 voices about sandhi11 crane.can be cut)
21: 17 motor revs and up we go ..(sound distorted)
21 :49 in the air and no distortion, brief drop out and change in recording
22:23 it gets consistent again. (ask bill can we even use first part)
SB
DAT#l
24:31 engine goes a little lower engine hum all the way through 1 :00 (no interview with bill and pilot?)
1:01: 18 motor drops, soon revives, briefly distorted levels
1 :01 :40 a bear chasing a caribou, a bear chasing a caribou .. (plane circles around)
1:02:15 there's a bear killing a caribou!!! (oh really) voices in BG but can't hear what they're saying ..
1 :02:59 my voice in background can't really hear
1:03:35 There's caribou. A bunch of caribou.
1:03 :45 starting approach down to lake
1:04 landing...soft and sounds real muffled. 1:04 29 landing
1 :04:32 that was cool he chased that caribou right down that hill and killed him at the bottom (you saw it happen?) yeah, he had that caribou going, just one bear, ..and he jumped on him right on the bottom of that hill ... you'll probably be okay, he'll be full, you just don't want to walk that way.
1:05: 19 speeds up, boy that bear they can sure run when they want to ...
1:05:52 plane shuts off to quiet.
1 :06:26 we can offload right off the front of the float here ..
1 :06:40 ambi of getting out..outside by 1 :07

1:07: pilot still talking about other kills he's seen in background
1 :07:55 hit the gravel, first sounds ofwind and loon, people talking.
1:08:13 Dave talking about where to camp
1:08:58 Dave walks away we off load..gravel sounds, bag is thrown to ground 1 :09:22
1:11 :24 that's it, that's it huh, whoo, well have fun, thanks jay, so you're going to next May, no next June you'll come pick us up, I don't know why so soon (talks about otter)
1:12:24 when the wind blows it comes from two ways, this is perfect, but if it's real windy and gusty we don't want to come in. ok..hear the sound of the wind.. tell you what dave can you give me a little push out..
1 : 13: 14 you can hear water as he pushes him out.. good
1:13:40 sound of plane starts up .... tums in front of us..
1: 16:56 plane faintly starts up ..approaches
17: 17 right next to us ..
17:25 closest
17:30 fading
17:36 it's gone
1 :20:56 let's get the binoculars out, and look around, I'm hoping there will be a little flat ledge up here, not too far on the water (good wind) good. Zipper.
1 :22:35 I'll just get this ready (not me)
1 :23:01 familiar with the? Yeah okay I'ts just, (sound of loading) safety's off, I'm going to load four in the magazine and I never have one in the chamber, 0 and then you fire. But we'll just keep our eyes open here, we've got lots of good visibility and if we're alert we can avoid any encounters.******************
1 :24:40 safety's on (good wind) so what you would do is press this come back and rack one in and its ready to fire, you've got bear spray, our eyes are our best defense around here really, and we have a successful bear that ought to be busy for a while there.
1 :25: 51 when we flew in there was a pretty good group of caribou over there ..
1 :26:27 zipper sound nice (in clear) on the beach general ambi (stuff)
1 :28: 11 well what do you think, head up carry a light load, try to find a place up here that looks good, and if not we'll go thirty miles that way .. (start moving)
1 :29:30 putting stuff on and moving ..

1:30:16 spotting loon ..
1 :31: 12 finally moving ..... .
1:31:49 good moving through the grasses (about 10 seconds). 1:32:24-1:32:51 good moving with good wind (no talking)
1:34:06 putting packs down . .let's see what we got around here (dave)
1 :34:34 oh look where we are, oh my god, in every direction, it's just so huge..******
(DIFFERENT MIC OR SOMETHING?.spaced omnis)
1 :35:47 a big valley, now your planned hike was ...I thought it was this way . .i'm all turned around..that's the one we were going to go around..maybe the other way ..O that would take us away from the bear, I am really turned around, you're the superintendent of the Park...good (funny) 1:37:48
1 :38:07 tents here ..cooking over there ..
1 :38:21 sounds of putting up tents. Tents are put up right by caribou antler

1:41 : 14 putting up tents clanging of stakes and pounding in of stakes, zippers to 1 :50
