NOTES: FOX SPARROW WITH BAND NO.84 ON MILLER'S PROPERTY NEAR THE CORNER OF THE POWER LINES ON RED FOX DRIVE. PLAYBACK FOX SPARROW FROM SALCHAKET SLOUGH. THIS BIRD HAD BEEN BANDED ON THE EVENING OF 15 JUNE AND WAS VERY WARY. IT WAS DIFFICULT TO GET HI 1 MALE(S); 1 FEMALE(S)M CLOSE ENOUGH TO OBSERVE AND RECORD. THE FEMALE (NOT BANDED) CAME VERY CLOSE AND ACTED VERY SIMILAR TO A MALE WHEN FIRST CONFRONTED WITH A STRANGE SONG. SHE FLEW AROUND EXCITED AND PICKED UP STICKS.
