NOTES: A.M. NIGRESCENS.

BNA: Primary Song is heard. CZ 01/06/2004.

[Four examples of Primary Song in addition to various calls described in BNA. The songs here appear to represent the same song-type as that found in LNS #15068, 15072, and 15073. I am not certain whether the churring calls represent the "Chew" Calls or the "Whinny" described in BNA acocunt (0:29-1:01), but I do believe that they were given by these birds. There are also several "Tuck" calls by the sparrows (0:30, 0:345, 0:45, 0:485, 0:495, and 0:595). I am not sure about the two "seep" calls at 0:355 and 0:38 (these possibly the "seep/cee" call described in BNA but not shown spectrographically), and I suspect that the higher-pitched "dzip" calls at 0:48-0:55 were given by a Cistothorus (the chatter at 0:545, especially, sounds like that of a wren). Quality changed from 1-3 to 2-1, 2-3 (the first two songs are quite good, but the level is low for the calls at the end) - CAM - 18 March 2005]
