THE TUIS DID NOT ALLOW ACLOSE APPROACH. AS IS CUSTOMARY AMONG TUIS, THE ONES ON THIS ISLAND VOCALIZE ABIT DIFFERENTLY THAN THE ONES ELSEWHERE. THESE SONGS WERE RECORDED INTHE THICK, SECOND GROWTH FOREST NOW COVERING MOST OF THE ISLAND. 1.5KHZ HIGH PASS FILTER.
