THIS PORTION OF THE FOREST WAS NEW PLANTINGS OF MONTEREY PINE, PINUS RADIATA, WHICH WERE TWO TO THREE FEET TALL COMING UP THROUGH FERN AND SCRUB, ON THE SUMMIT OF A RIDGE WHICH FELL AWAY TO A DEEP CANYON 150M BELOW.
