03:23 FX Engine rev and tires spinning #2
AC: off mic " So we're stuck in the sand¿."[ng]
06:00 ¿ 06:34 FX of tires spinning and Alex: Maybe if he tries rocking it¿..
**07:02- 07:55 AC S "It's after 2 in the afternoon. It's a little bit later in the day that we would like it to be. We just crossed a little river on a pontoon bridge, and a couple of hundred yards after that we hit this sandpit, a long stretch of deep sand, and the truck is bogged down now. It's a four wheel drive truck, a Toyota Hilex, a good truck for this kind of country, but this sand is pretty bad, so I think we're going to try to reverse, and get back to solid ground, and get up some speed and see if we can make it across."
08:35 ¿ 8:45 AC: "Avez vous un shovel. Pel? Non pas We don't have a shovel"
+ plus more ambi and chitchat around the truck: sand up to the bottom of the car.
*09:22 ¿10:02 Ambi from the scene [g]
Carolyn slate: 6 guys stop to help us
*11:55 ¿ 12:22 AC S: Ok, here we are, it's almost 3:30 in the afternoon, we've been stuck in this sandpit for an hour and a half. Several guys have come along, and they're trying to help dig us out, and we're about to try to push the truck again. The sand is really deep here.
13:53 ¿ 14:29 FX Truck start, movement through the sand [backwards] and lots of yelling
**FX 14:29 to end Slashing bamboo and talking
14:43 Alex in distance yells Yeah, yeah¿¿ [might need this at the end of the scene]
**17:23 ¿ 18:07 FX Truck makes it successful trip through the sand + lots of yelling
18:47- 18:53 AC: Ok. Success with the truck. We carry the bags. We get out of here.
