NOTES: BIRD, POSSIBLY FEMALE, HAD A NEST WITH YOUNG IN TUFT-CLUMP OF GRASS IN THE VALLEY. NEST WAS OF THE BALL TYPE, CONSTRUCTED OF DRIED GRASS WITH A DRIED GRASS DOME. BIRD WAS FEEDING THE YOUNG AND TAKING AWAY FECES CAPSULES. MYLES STATED THAT THE BIRDS WERE VERY LIKE C. ROBUSTA (NUCHALIS) BUT IN FLIGHT MUCH SLIMMER WITH LONG BILL AND TAIL. MYLES DOES NOT MENTION THE DARK TAIL IN HIS FIELD RECORDING NOTEBOOK. HALL AND MOREAU MAKE REFERENCE TO A CHARACTERISTIC DARK TAIL IN ROBUSTA. ON THE TAPE MYLES CLASSIFIES THIS BIRD AS C. TINNIENS;HOWEVER HE CORRECTS THISIN BOTH HIS FIELD AND RECORDING NOTEBOOKS TOC. ROBUSTA ABERDARE. JUVENILE(S); 1 ADULT(S); 1 FEMALE(S)?; Sex: UNKNOWN
