NOTES: IN HIS ANNOTATION AND HIS NOTEBOOK MYLES REFERS TO THIS AS A SCOLD SERIES. HOWEVER, J.F.M. HORNE THINKS THIS IS MORE LIKELY TO BE A CONTACTCALL BETWEEN MALE AND FEMALE. THIS IS BASED ON THE ASSUMPTION THAT MYLES IS CORRECT IN HIS ANALYSIS OF SERIES 2 CUT 3 (LNS 14344) OF THIS SPECIES. IN THIS LATTER CUT A PRESUMED MALE AND FEMALE ARE IN A SITUATION WHERE THE MALE IS SINGING THE MELODIOUS SONG AND THE FEMALE (PRESUMED) IS CHATTERING. THE SAME SITUATION EXISTS WITHTHIS CUT. THE CHATTERING OF ONE BIRD IS NEARER AND THE SECOND BIRD CAN BE HEARD DISTINCTLY IN THE BACKGROUND. MONTANE FOREST GIVING WAY TO HIGH ALTITUDE GRASSLAND. THIS CUT IS DERIVED FROM LNS 14343 AND 14344. MALE(S)?; FEMALE(S)?
