The channel islands also recognizes the man in the biosphere reserve (people talking in bg -not clear)~international recognition from the UN. So both the park and the sanctuary encompass the channel islands of biosphere reserve. As I said it is an international recognition. There are about, I believe there are about 47 biosphere reserves.
