NOTES: Birds were unseen, but heard somewhat frequently far upslope in grassy puna. LNS: 250 Hz high-pass filter applied in soundBlade. According to Schulenberg et al. 2007 Birds of Peru, this would represent a new departmental record for Ayacucho. Check Thomas Valqui's records, however, because I believe he might have observed this taxon at roughly this location in 2007 or 2008.
