This individual was clearly mimicking other species, including (but probably not limited to): Saltator atriceps, Caprimulgus arizonae, Pheucticus ludovicianus, Melanerpes aurifrons, Piaya cayana, and Hylocichla mustelina. I was unsuccessful in seeing this bird, but Josué de León Lux refound this bird on 8 May 2009 and wrote the following: "Llegamos al lugar y allí empezamos a oir un turdus cantando pero yo no lo habia oido antes porque era muy raro el canto, luego le pregunté a Lalo y me dijo que ese era el turdus que habian escuchado con Uds, Empezamos a buscarlo y por fin lo encontramos, era un Turdus infuscatus o Black Thrush juvenil que vocalizaba muy diferente al Turdus infuscatus adulto." Also independently identified as Turdus infuscatus by Jesse Fagan, with 90% confidence.
