NOTES: M.C. FISCHERI. THE RECORDING IS IN TWO SECTIONS. IN THE 1ST SECTION MYLES WAS POINTING AT THE ADULT, WHICH IS DIFFICULT TO HEAR. IT IS A HIGH FREQUENCY CALL. MYLES THINKS THE ADULT IS POSSIBLY 6000HZ AND THE FLEDGLING, WHO IS RECORDED IN THE SECOND HALF, AT ABOUT 9000HZ. THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE ADULT AND THE FLEDGLING CAN BE HEARD THROUGH A GOOD SPEAKER AT NORMAL SPEED. MYLES SLOWED IT DOWN TO HEAR IT BY ONE HALF FOR THE ADULT AND ONE QUARTER FOR THE FLEDGLING. IT IS UNFORTUNATE THAT MYLES CEASED RECORDING WHEN HE DID AS THE ADULT BIRD HAD JUST UTTERED A COUPLE OF SONG PHRASES. GARDEN WITH GOOD TREE AND SHRUB COVERAGE. 1 ADULT(S). ML: Subject changed from Melaenornis chocolatinus to M. fischeri to reflect current taxonomy. -Matt Medler, 18 Nov 2013.
