NOTES: Elevation is approximate. Recorded simultaneously by John Cahill. Sounds from a presumed family group of Ciccaba nigrolineata. The two primary on-mic vocalizations are a rasping call that I assume to be from a juvenile (based on its similarity to the begging call of juvenile Strix varia) and a fairly short hooting call given by an adult. A third, distant individual can also be heard calling at times in the background. In addition, a soft chattering call can be heard at 0:55 of the recording.
