NOTES: Recorded in Sitka Spruce forest at the north end of Saint Lazaria Island in Sitka Sound, Alaska. Recorded in 4-channel surround with a Sound Devices 744T and Sennheiser MKH20/MKH30 MS pair in the front channels and MKH20s in channels 3-4 arranged in XY stereo. This is archived in decoded MS stereo from the front two channels. In this segment, several calls of Synthliboramphus antiquus are heard in the beginning (high, thin trilled call). Also, faint partial song from Dendroica petechia. Good series of O. leucorhoa calls and purring at 21:09. Also, a good section from both Oceanodroma spp. from 22:30-23:30 including one bird flying into the microphone. The source recording is split across two discs in LNS (MJA246 and MJA247). The split occurs at 17:39of this recording.
