NOTES: TWO BIRDS PRESUMABLY A PAIR ON POWER POLES 100 YDS APART CAWING AT EACH OTHER. RECORDED FIRST ONE BIRD THEN THE OTHER AS THEY REMAINED STATIONARY AND CALLING WHEN I MOVED FROM THE FIRST TO THE SECOND. GIVES EXCELLENT IDEA OF THE RATHER DEEP H 2 ADULT(S)OLLOW GROWLY CALL OF THIS BIRD - EASY TO DISTINGUISH FROM THE PIED; THOUGH NOT SO EASY TO EXPLAIN HOW. THE SECOND BIRD IS HIGHLY TYPICAL FOR THIS SPECIES. AT END OF CAWING DUET IT DOES A BIT OF REAL CROW MUSIC WITH GARGLES AND A KIND OF BARK - BIZARRE.
Sound Category: Duet?
