NOTES: This begins with natural songs by an unseen bird that was probably 35 meters away and up overhead and in or near the canopy of good terra firme forest just at the end of the road above the shelter; this part was extracted from the owl cut (#2001-27-04), which ended at 5:18, but the Philydor last sang about two minutes before this; the second part was recorded after my whistled imitation of the Philydor, with the bird now 25 meters and 25 meters up overhead and again in the canopy; in response to my imitation the bird began singing and chattering (the latter possibly not heard before my imitation); later playback resulted in the bird approaching aggressively but not singing; partly cloudy, intermittent breeze, 75¡ F.
