NOTES: Unseen bird was probably 20-25 meters away and low in medium dense growth in good forest up on the slope above the road just before the sharp bend about one-third of the way up the hill; following playback, the bird went quiet but it eventually began calling again; as far as I could determine, it never approached; in the latter parts of the recording, the bird was 15-20 meters away and low in dense undergrowth in a draw, possibly behind vegetation and clearly moving; mostly clear but hazy, calm, 74¡ F.
ML: Background subject changed from Dendrocincla fuliginosa to D. turdina tuanayi to reflect current taxonomy. --Jay McGowan 19Sep2013
