NOTES: This bird was well seen after playback, but when recorded it was 12-15 meters away and about 10-12 meters up in the upper two-thirds of a relatively large tree in a ravine along the road in a strip of second-growth vegetation and bananas crossed the sugar cane fields; there seemed to be two birds; in response to playback, the singing bird came right in giving complex songs, none of which I was able to get onto tape, but I did see it well; the brief part after playback had the bird 15-18 meters away and 10 meters up; full dense overcast, calm, 83¡ F.
