    Equipment Note

NOTES: A pair of birds seen as they moved across the fields, beginning at the soccer field behind the barn and moving across the river; the birds ranged from 25 to 60 meters away, generally on the ground but once in low flight, and at the last part of the recording one was perched on a stick 25 meters away and 1 meter up on a stick in an open scrubby area; I saw one of the birds quite well before I recorded this cut and both together as they moved across the fields; the bird seen well had a chestnut crown that showed little contrast with the back; mostly cloudy, consistently breezy, mid- to upper 80s (the thermometer seems to have been cooked); first two parts not copied.

ML: Subject changed from recordist's original identification of Furnarius figulus figulus to Furnarius figulus to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015.
