NOTES: There were two birds singing but these recordings appear to have highlighted the male (which I saw relatively well during a break in this recording), which was 3-4 meters (2/3) up very dense and relatively small shrubs at the edge of open fields behind the village; for the first natural song, the bird was about 30 meters away, but the later cuts after playback were from a distance of about 8-10 meters but with the bird in about the same place; there was little obvious response to playback, possibly a slow approach by a bird giving similar songs still separated by long pauses; mostly overcast, intermittently breezy, 86¡ F; first part not copied.
