NOTES: When recorded, this bird was 15-18 meters away and relatively low but not on the ground on slope above the trail in the relatively dense understory of good forest on the interpretive trail above the station; these birds came right in aggressively in response to playback and sang aggressively, often 4-5 meters up on exposed branches where I saw it well as it dipped the head back-and-forth; the bird highlighted flew off near the end of the cut (when the calls overloaded); sun not in treetops at the time; clear, calm, 63¡ F.
