NOTES: A series of cuts of two birds that were seen very well, initially with a mixed-species flock; the first natural at 18-20 meters away and probably in the undergrowth high up on a steep slope near the ridgeline, then after playback of itself at a distance of 3-5 meters and from ground level to about 2 meters; though seen occasionally, they were moving constantly and generally not in view in dense undergrowth and thus difficult to follow; recorded along the trail to the plateau well above the station at about 1600-1700 meters; in response to playback, these birds came in aggressively and moved all around me giving both songs and a variety of calls; essentially clear, calm, 67¡ F.
