NOTES: A male that I saw following playback was initially 12 meters away and 2-3 meters up, later moving quite a bit but typically 5-8 meters away and about 2-3 meters up, always in dense roadside scrub at the edge of tall terra firme forest about 100 meters from the end of the forest along the right fork of the second spur (ramal) road in the INCRA project; in response to limited playback, the bird came flying back-and-forth silently and was seen relatively well but briefly; no additional playback between second and third parts of this recording, the bird later began calling and eventually singing (recorded in later parts); low clouds lifting off trees somewhat, calm, 80¡ F.
