    Equipment Note

NOTES: A pair of birds that were well seen initially 15 meters away, later 8 meters away, and low (< 1 meter) up in undergrowth right along the water at the first stream where it crossed the right fork of the second spur (ramal) road in the INCRA project; initial part was natural, the second after minimal playback, in response to which the birds came in along the roadside, sang more frequently and gave more agitated songs and possibly a few different calls, and tended to sit motionless for longer periods of time; I saw the male well and described it briefly on tape, but I never did see the second bird; there was a sliver moon low in eastern sky at 5 am; mostly clear with a few scattered high clouds, calm, 79¡ F.
