NOTES: Bird was seen briefly but reasonably well, initially about 15 meters away, later about 20 meters away, and 8-10 meters up as it crept up vertical trunks in the mid-levels of relatively good terra firme forest about 150 meters beyond the first stream crossing along the right fork of the second spur (ramal) road in the INCRA project; there was a swarm of Eciton burchelli in the area, but this bird was a short distance from the swarm; mostly clear with a few scattered high clouds, calm, 82¡ F.
