NOTES: This bird began the day with long calls at 5:30:54 and 5:31:45, followed by a song at 5:32:49, after which I managed to get its second song on tape; unseen bird was 30 meters away and high up in tall terra firme forest, apparently just in and just west of head of forest trail on the north side of the road 200-300 meters in from edge of forest just before the second dip in road [03¡ 47' 34" S, 60¡ 17' 54" W]; I was on the road; after the tape ended, the bird gave a long calls at 5:48:21 and 5:53:16, the latter further off the road to the north; dense clouds were moving in rapidly despite mostly clear conditions earlier, a few drips at the end of the recording and light rain began about 6:15 am and lasted about an hour (though never very hard and with some clearing by 7:40), thunder in the distance during recording, calm, 79¡ F; note that this entire reel was recorded AFTER cut #2000-34-08 but BEFORE cut ##2000-34-09.

ML: Subject changed from recordist's original identification of Xiphorhynchus guttatus guttatoides to Xiphorhynchus guttatus guttatoides/dorbignyanus to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015.
