NOTES: As far as I could determine, there was only one bird, a male that was well seen but in almost constant motion, initially 12-15 meters, later about 8 meters away, and <1 meter above the ground and often near the water in dense swampy vegetation right where a small stream was backed up by the main road about 300 meters beyond the intersection with the spur road; the bird was initially calling but I did not get onto it until it began to sing; using playback, I then brought the bird in and obtained good views and recorded additional songs; dense overcast, sprinkling lightly, calm, 80¡ F.
