    Equipment Note

NOTES: Bird was well seen, initially 10-12 meters away (later about 15 meters away), and 20-30 centimeters up on an open horizontal, branch in understory of good terra firme forest on south side of the grid; recorded after playback of prerecorded tape (Antbird Master), in response to which the bird came shooting by and perched on a nearby branch; the bird rattled the first time it came in, but after this, it gave songs similar to those heard before playback (typically giving only one song before dropping down and going quiet as it walked around on the forest floor); clouding up, calm, 78¡F.
