NOTES: Unseen bird was 15-18 m away and low in really dense undergrowth, probably on a rock or a fallen log; recorded on slope above highway below km. 172; this was recorded quite some time after playback of a prerecorded tape, in response to which the bird was generally quiet but it eventually sang; partly cloudy, some breeze, upper 70s. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, Edge.
