NOTES: A series of brief cuts highlighting a flock of six swallows that were flying by at distances from about 15 m up overhead to 50-60 m away as they circled only 15 m or so above the ground (well below the level of the treetops); the birds seemed to concentrate their time in front of a 50 m-tall cliff face on which there were water marks but no waterfall; the surrounding forest was largely pine with only scattered oaks; this was back at the site where we began the morning, and only a short distance farther down the track than where I recorded the Icterus in cut #2002-06-02; clear, breezy, 62¡ F.
