    Equipment Note

NOTES: A briefly seen woodpecker that flew from a point 18 m up and 20 m away on a trunk in good forest along the Trilha das Rochas between the Trilha da Caja and the Trilha de Figueira; what I saw of the bird in flight was consistent with it being this species, the most likely Campephilus to occur in this habitat; hazy, 5 knot breeze, 85¡F [= RCR154-155].
