NOTES: An adult that was well seen as it foraged and fed two begging juveniles about 30 m away and 20-25 m up in dense vine tangles the upper levels of a scrubby tree at the edge of a moderately large tree-fall gap about 400 m out the Trilha de Teles Pires; the young birds were seen quivering their wings and cocking up their tails when fed by the adult (they were described briefly on tape); on one occasion, I saw an adult of this species feed a large, juvenile katydid or grasshopper to one of the young birds; these birds were associated with a amid a mixed-species flock of mostly tanagers, most of which were sitting still and seemingly roosting for the mid-day period [= RCR151-153].
